4 RE SR 12's vs 2 RE SE 15's

I'm about to order some subs but Im desiding wich set up to do though. I could get 4 RE SR 12's for 400 shipped or 2 RE SE 15's for 300 shipped off ebay. Wich will get louder? Move more air? Either set up will be power'd of off 1500 wrms ported.

idk what size box yet i could do a box thats up to 8 cf max as for tuning .. 35 hz

4 12"s because the first thing that comes to mind is cone area. in the right box, both will sound great, but the 4 12"s would probably be slightly louder imo
