4 or 6 15's

well he's putting a masive 1000d on each massive 15. I don't dout that it'll get loud but I think that if I built it it would be louder than what his design is. It looks more for show than go. IMO

is he doing an straight spl vehicle or is it going to be a daily driven loud vehicle?? thats what makes the difference in his choice. for spl ur best bet would be 4 15's with as much port as possible to bring your tuning freq way up. but if u were doin like bassrace and a daily tuned vehicle u could work in 6 15's but it would be a tight squeeze. your best overall bet is doing 4 15's with the right amount of space and port to be tuned in the mid 30's.

i would say 4 in a proper box will kill 6 in a questionable one. i once did a single cab f150 with 4 15's and 4 12's all in the cab and with 2 bucket seats because i was told it couldn't be done...was it cool for 1991 when no one was doing big stuff in this area..hell yea...did it sound like azzz? hell yea..lol

do the 4 he'll be alot happier

by the way it was 2 low behind the seats..2 high behind yer head. 2 12's in a console and 2 isobaric face to face in the center of the 4 15's..yes it'll fit..no it won't hit

ok now he is set on inverting the subs so we can all see the motors. now I have never done this but have heard that you need to change the phaseing is this true or not?thanks

Not necessarily. That all need to be in the same phase but not necessarily different than mounting regular. Try both and see which sounds better. Or they may even be a 180° switch on your amp.

And it depends on the subs whether you want to do 6 or 4. If you are looking at middle of the road subs that dont need massive port area, there is no reason you couldnt do 6.
