4 ohms of modded MTX

[noob with an RS 10+ year member]

i was at one point very interested in piccing up a modded MTX. but i am very skeptic that by taking out the protection circuit (to mod it) the amp puts out more at 4 ohms. doesn't the mod just help it drop down to 1 ohm without shutting itself off??? or does it actually increase it's output at 4 ohms too??
