305dc vs. mtx

ok i was gonna get 1 pioneer 305dc with the profile cl600 for my gf's car but then wondered if the mts subs that u can get for $37 shipped are a better buy.....so heres my questions:

1. which sub is better overall 50/50 sq/spl

2. if the pioneer is better is it 10-20 $$$ better?

any help would be greatly appreciated......thanks

I had 2 tsw-255c pioneer 10 inch (same as the 12, specs differed a bit) I would get another in a heart beat. In my opinion they will get just as loud as the mtx's and sound better. That is if the mtx's were the 6000 series ( I don't remember if they were the 6000 or the 8000) The 8000 will get louder but I always found that they were muddier than the pioneers.

Either will be good in a g/f car. Just a little bump in the trunk anyways.

i had a pair of the 305DVC's. they got decently loud for the price. i bought 'em for like 100$ for the pair. made a ported box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. had like 300 rms to each one from a Lanzar Vibe 1000D. i liked 'em alot, then i became a moron and bought the audiobahn. the pioneers had better SQ for sure than the audiobahn.

I ran a pair of the 305svc's. They were decent, they were the first pair of subs I ever owned(paid $90cdn each 2 years ago). And were a big difference over the Boston bandpass 12 I had. Depending on the price you get them for, that will determine if its worth it. I myself would never by them again although I did sell them to my brother. And he still uses them for his daily driver.
