4-ways will just cover more frequencies....past more than 2 or 3 way is really, basically, useless...most are just happy with component systems, and then use 3-ways for rear fill.

3 way speakers systems mean that you have 3 speakers, you usually have a mid bass speaker, a tweeter and a super tweeter. I've never seen a 4 way speaker, but it would have 4 speakers. I see no need for a 4 way speaker. I would go with a good 2 way component system, over both speakers listed above. A component system consists of an independent tweeter and independent mid bass woofer. THey also have a crossover which sends all the treble to the tweeter, and all the bass to the woofer. This system allows for cleaner sound.
