3.5 cube at 40hz and $350 to spend

i have a 12" audioque hdc312 off of 1800 rms watts in a 2.3 cu. ft. box tuned to 38 hz. and it slams for a single 12. better than my 12" FI BL in a 2.2 cu. ft box tuned to 34 hz. So i would say a 15" audioque hdc315 would slam in that size box. The audioque is a pretty impressive built sub.

Friend has a 3.5 cube 40hz aero port box and is looking for a new sub around or under $350 to spend. I understand DD would be a good choice but that is out of the price range from what I understand? Have Alpine Mrd-M1005 1000RMS for an amp.Audioque hd315?

Opinions welcome!
Sounds like an HDC3 would like that. But it would also like a tiny bit bigger box, and more than 1000 RMS, especially since it is a smaller box.

sell that alpine amp, you'll get good money for it. then get the hdc/2200 combo. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

or a sundown 1500/bl

i'm assuming he's using 2 4" aero's if so.....perhaps get a Q and plug one port or something along those lines so that he can have a dialy and a "spl" tune. JMHO
Correct. Plugging one port would raise tuning significantly?

Im going to look at the SDC option but will it take 1000RMS? Stated RMS is 600?

Thanks
