i've never had a problem with the three or four pioneer's i've own...they look great and perform just as good as any for the money...

From a features standpoint, the clarion DXZ775USB looks promising for SQ setup features.. One of the few units out these days with dta and 3 way crossover.. Just a thought.

yeah, what is wrong with Pioneer? the best audiophiles swear by it. I plan on going with the Premier later on but I do have the 5900 just like the above mentioned...

.....Kenwood and Eclipse have never steered me wrong, but pioneer, sony, jvc, and clarion have fuked up, sometime during the time I've had them.

I tell ya, given all the opinions and all the war-stories of head units dying and crapping out.. Makes me think I need to just keep my OEM and hang a 3sixty.2 or pxe-h650 off the end of the OEM and RCA out to amps. Ask enough people and you'll find someone who's had a bad one in any and all brands.

I suggest, define what it is you want to do with the head unit.. lots of sound features like crossovers or time alignment or eq, or iPod or USB input or bluetooth, etc. Then go from there.
