205/60/16 vs. 215/45/17 Tires

Im thinking about purchasing 215/45/17 tires. I currently have 205/60/16 tires.

Will I notice a big difference in ride comfort?

You have two different rim sizes...If you have 16's and put 215/45/17 then yea I'd say you'll feel a difference since they wont fit. Sounds like you've had as much to drink tonight as me.

If you're asking about 205/60 vs 215/45 I'd say it depends on your car and the suspension setup, But it shouldn't make too much of a difference, I had 215/50/16's on my grand marquis and I put some 255/45/20's on it, granted they were two totally different setups the 255/45 had surprisingly nice ride quality for the size of the rims.

I meant all 4 tires...I have 4 17" rims/tires in storage

I'd say the 17's, Put them on and see which one's you prefer, it'll be different but you can decide if you can get used to it or want to switch them back. Can't hurt since they're in storage.
