Here is a simple system I put together for my Z. I bought some parts used and some new. I installed it by myself and cut up most of my fingers doing it, but well worth it in the end. Amps/wires are hidden in the cubby behind the seat, so don't mind the mess inside it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Kenwood KDC-x994 hu = $225 new

RF Punch 200dsm mids/highs amp = $50 used

RF Punch 200ix sub amp = $40 used

DLS Ultimate UX26 in Fiberglass Kicks = $225 used

Custom 350z sub enclosure = $100 new

RF Punch P3D210 10" Sub = $90 new

Dual amplifier wiring kit + acc. = $50 new

Total = $780

How did i do?

I really like that you bought kicks made for the car, as well as a box. car audio isn't worth ******* up such an awesome car.

I guess I would have gone with different equipment, but the install is nice.

looks like kicks that bing from simplicity fabricated for you ?

you get the the dls from him as well, he likes dls

zencloser box from mike at zen?

looks nice

how does it sound , you happy with it ?

Yeah its a set of kicks/speakers that was built by Bing that I bought used from someone on my350z.com . I really like the dls speakers they are laid back and not harsh at all. I looked up the speakers and they seem to cost a fair bit of cash by themselves, so I think i got them at a steal.

I got the box from sonicelectronix, it has a bit more airspace than zen's, but looks very similar.

Overall i'm very happy with the sound, but sometimes I can tell the sound is coming from under the dash, will ambient tweeters in the a-pillars help in this regard?

And I do have some small resonance issues with the kicks, how would i go about fixing this?

For the kicks, you can try to pick up some duct-seal from Home depot or Lowes. It's a butyl compound that like modeling clay. Line the walls of the kicks with it, about 1/4" thick or more.

looks to boomy sounding for me
that's the comment of a hater //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif why else would you say something so stupid

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
