I'm replacing the factory head unit with an Alpine on my 2005 Silverado Club Cab. I see where I need an adapter to retain the door chimes. Here's my question - do I have to have this? I hate the door chimes. I do not have Onstar or steering wheel controls. So will I be fine not using the adapter? Also - do I need the antenna adapter that Crutchfield lists? Or will the factory antenna plug direct into my Alpine? Head unit is Alpine iXA-W407, by the way. Thanks!
