I am going to be moving an audio system from a 1993 Camaro to a 2004 3.4L Impala.
It comes with a factory radio/cassette deck.
1. The head unit is an Alpine 7xxx series. I assume I will need a install kit, and perhaps a wiring kit too? Do these things come together, and if so, where is the best place to find them?
2. Also, if anyone knows any guides for Impalas that would be a life saver as this will be my very first install. Some people say there are special things that need to get done when removing the factory radio?
3. I have component speakers being installed, and will want to mount the tweets on the bar that separates the front windshield from the door. Are there special tweet mounts I need? Do I need specific mounts for different tweets? (Boston Acoustics Pro series 6.5 and 6.2)
4. I am also going to need a HO Alternator, so if anyone knows where to locate those that would be great. From browsing some of the other titles in here, people are asking about needing different wires for the new alternators. Is this necessary? Or is a HO alternator a bolt and go install?
I know that this thread has a ton of questions jammed into one post and I sincerely appreciate any suggestions and/or tips.
