So my Sable decided to crap out on me. So time for a new vehicle. I bought this little truck from my aunt with 60,000 miles on it. I have already replaced the head unit with a cheap Pioneer one. I also threw in 2 10" Orion P10D4s that I had laying around in a cheap box. To power them I am using a Diamond D3 600.1. They don't sound great, but definitely an improvement over having no subs. After a little fooling around with the HU settings I got a decent sound out of the factory speakers too. Anyhow this is where it is now:
Please excuse the messy wiring. As this is a temporary setup I didn't want to cut any wire or do anything more permanent. Future plans include:
Installing one of the custom DC lvl 4s that I have from my sable
Building a box for said subwoofer
Finding an amp that will push the DC without putting too much of a strain on my electrical system.
Upgrading my HU to a PRS-80
Installing 2-way components up front
Finding an amp that will push the components
Upgrade the big 3
Upgrade my battery
Build an amp rack
Hopefully I'll have time to keep up with this log. This will be a simple clean install, but I aim for it to sound better than everything else around here.
