okay i just bought one with a stock radio in it.. i stupidly cut the plug out thinking it wouldnt fit. now my odometere and gear select are not working and my dash is not either.. what did i do? did i **** it up? i just got it today and now im really angry i cant drive it.. my speedometer wont work neither will my rpms either.. please help me/

In some Chevy's the instrument panel is wired in closely with the factory stereo. you will probably need to buy a wiring kit for your model and hook up your after-market cd player in order to get your instrument panel working again.

well i will be going to get a new harness here in a bit but it is cold and rainy outside so not working on it anymore tonight.. i will keep you up on the events.. it was working fine untill i pulled the dash cover off to take out radio and when i pulled out factory and it didnt fit my harness i cut it to wire it up.. everything works fine except my dash.. there is another plug that i did not mess with so maybe a current harness will solve my dash board problems. thank you for a little info.

yesss it was cut before and spliced already so i did not stop and think... total noob mistake but i bought another one and a similar harness to lengthen the wires and just wire it back up.. i am extremely mad at myself lol.
