2001 Lincoln Continental sound system and electrical upgrades

Hey guys, over the next couple of months I will be saving up to make some changes to my sub system and electrical. It will take a while to save as much as I will need but it will happen, eventually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My current system:

American Bass XFL 12" dual 4 ohm, wired to 2 ohms

Hifonics BRX1600.1d monoblock amp, 1200W RMS@2 ohms, 1600W RMS@1 ohm

XS Power D680 battery in the trunk, standard wet cell battery up front

6.5 cu. ft. kerf ported enclosure

2 gauge power wire from front battery to rear battery, rear battery to amp

2 gauge ground wire from rear battery to chassis, rear battery to amp

4 gauge ground wire from front battery to strut tower

Kenwood 6.5 coaxials in the front doors

Kenwood 6x8 coaxials in the rear doors

Eclipse CD1200 head unit

I really don't want to upgrade much more of the electrical but I will if I really need to. It is such a pain running new power wire, especially bigger, due to where it runs through the firewall. Big 3 is not an easy task to do on my car either due to how everything is situated and where wires are in the engine bay.

Planned upgrades:

(4) Cadence S2W8-S4 SVC 4 ohm 8" woofers

New enclosure for them

Image Dynamics CTX-65 coaxials in the front and rear doors

Hifonics BRX160.2 amplifier for the door speakers

AGM battery for up front

Complete big 3 upgrade, but this won't happen until probably next spring or summer.

1/0ga. power and ground runs from front battery to rear, again this probably won't happen until next spring or summer.

New addition to the plan: High Output Alternator, somewhere between 220-280 amps. This will also be later.

Decided on a Super Start Platinum battery from O'Reilly's.
