2001 Audi TT - 1 12" or 2 10's?

I'm looking to add subs to my car. Is it better to go with 1 12 or 2 10's? I was looking at stuff from Image Dynamics or the Fi Q series. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Both will utilize about the same amount of air space. 2 10s will give you more cone area.
