I'm in the market for an amp that does about 2000@ 2 ohms, I'd like to pay around 400 used, maybe a little more shipped, and if its like 500 ish brand new I might consider that. I was looking at the hk4000d, should it be able to do only about 2k off a relatively weak electrical? Considering its rated to do 3500 ish on a strong electrical...seems to me like it would but I don't know.

Also looking for any other recommendations, absolute minimum of 1.6k solidly at 2 ohms, but I'd just rather have the extra power rather than having to be on the edge of clipping. I don't drop below 13.3 ish running about 1.2k rms, so I should be maybe in mid 12's off of 1.6k+? Also, the amp can't be too long, 35inches is pretty much absolute max, but realistically thats too big, I'd rather something closer to 20 long

get you a dual audio 200 watt 4 channel amp

I love my atomic 3000.1 it does 2000 @ 2ohms and i got it on here for around what you are looking to spend. I think there are a couple for sell right now you may check out.

how are the kx's compared to the zx's? I know they're older but performance wise is there any big difference? I'm lookin at a kx for about 400 used right now so

there is no difference except the kx seem to handle 1ohm better than the zx but it looks like you wont have to worry about that anyway.
