Yeah, with a bit of creativity, you can probably make a 6x8 baffle that'll hold a 6.5 inch woofer and maybe the tweeter (depending on the driver and so on).

There's been a dozen $200 component threads posted lately. As for an amp, Sounddomain is selling Clarion amps real cheap. Millionbuy is clearing out Phoenix Gold Octanes cheap as well. Either should fit the bill nicely.

CDT EF-61CFi components 560i xover 1" silks for $200 ?

or can better be had?? do u guys recommend he go with a 6x9 component set such as the one CDT offers? or should he definitely get a 6.5" component set?

You might also want to look into Exile's XP components. The a/d/s 3-series have been selling real cheap on e-Bay and are nice. Sounddomain still has some 5 1/4 3- and 2-series available (Sounddomain is an authorized dealer).

Looks like I will be the first to say CDT has some very good stuff for the money. You really cannot go wrong with anything they offer. The EF line will impress most and is really good competition for anything in their price range.
