2 xxx 18's not loud enough

I have 2 xxx 18's... box built into trunk of a sedan.. tried to utilize as much space as possible.. eventuallly went sealed however ( covered port)..

I got about 1800 rms to each sub.. 2 optima red tops.. have not installed 240a alt yet. install was prettyy clean.. some pics of the box.. used liquid nail to seal as you can see doubled plated mdf..

I really do no know ho wmany cubes i got.. Just tried to make the biggest box possible in the car. Its loud but not Loud enough or not as loud as I know a xxx 18 can be. I mean I shouldnt be able to breath in the car...

What amps are you using?

You may get better results with just one sub, if you dont have enough space to run both properly.

i dunno exactly, but i think i got 10-11 cubes... the box is bolted down and everything.. i really would like some one in the area to take a look at my install and see what can be better..

I also got 2 xxx mids IB in the doors.. THEY ****..

Im not sure why someone would run two 18" xxx, but not know how large their box is.

For the mids, what do you have them powered with? Crossover points?

i am using an eclipse ea4000.. about 250rms to each xxx mid.. I am very dissappointed with IB. I also have audio control EQ's installed but not equalized yet.

I got a three way crossover for front stage.

Still a good amount of air space for that box to be 10 cubes net....gotta be one hell of a trunk.

that didn't look like 10 cubes... and RE's website says 7.5 cubes for one ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so i say just run one in the trunk and see how you like it. also, they can probably take more than 1800 sealed. i have 2k going to mine, and it still can't get to full excursion.

you're doing something wrong b/c I've heard a 15" XXX and it wanged.....
