Well this is my second sub in the last few months i have received damaged... Bought a Fully loaded BTL with 15" basket from a member on here and i received it in pieces.. After closer inspection all three slugs on the motor are cracked the top being worst. This is the exact reason i over pack on all my gear i sell.. Sad day... I filed a claim with UPS so hopefully i can get some money back out of this situation.. Anyone know if FI repairs/rebuilds damaged motors?? It is seller's responsibility to get it to you in good shape or at least insure against damage is it not?

Yeah i wasn't packed to well considering there is a 56 pound motor in there that's going to shift alot during transport.. The seller has been awesome. He just hasn't been on for a few days to get my pm's about the situation. Im sure he will make things right.

Emm not sure how insurance works with UPS.. I have heard some good stories and i have heard some bad ones with UPS.. Hopefully i am one of the good stories when this is all over..

i alwasy make a crate for each sub that doesnt have factory box.

Crates can be deadly to if not used correctly... I always double box and use tons of shipping foam pads or swimming noodles. Either way i ensure the motor can not move in any direction.
