I bought these a about a year ago and intended to build them up into some 8" or 10" SQ drivers but will most likely not get around to doing it. They're like mini TC-9s, LOL. The coils need to be cleaned and prepped a bit but they're perfect. 3" D4 coils, very healthy Xmax.

Link to info for the TC-7: http://web.archive.org/web/20050211043029/tcsounds.com/Images/12tc7_2567.pdf

$50 each or $85 for the pair, shipped.

Thanks, guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Is it possible to make beefy 8's outta these that are more geared toward SPL and not SQ?
The coil that you would get with these is good for about 400w to 800w thermally, depending on how well you know how to use your gear. You could get different coils to suit your SPL purposes.

Got any 10" baskets to go with it?
None that I want to sell, sorry.

3" coil doesn't work well for an 8".
Keep in mind that drivers such as Dynaudio and Morel use a 3" coil for most of their sizes. It just takes a spider with deeper convolutions to get a good throw. Finding those types of spiders will be more difficult but they do exist.

That is true, I was speaking in a more general sense of commonly available parts.

Indeed, I agree completely. It won't be easy to source those parts but I like to leave the possibility open for the determined ones.

A 10" would be optimal and very easy to build.

I loved my TC-7 10's, they sounded amazing.

I have yet to hear one, LOL. Maybe I should go ahead and build these.
Thanks.
