i doubt its a big deal. like i said if they weren't good they wouldn't still be operating. its typical for spiders to fail in comps. spider fail or you burn them up.

Polluting Residentials
I used to hear and see a TON about dc softpart fails. I would venture to say ive by far seen more blown DC subs than any company. But that was a few years ago, and now i hear of failures much less frequently. The XLs are great subs, i just think the SSAs are better

This is what id do.. buy one of each. Try them both. Sell the one u dont like and buy the one u do..
You're only running 4K
You can't go wrong with any of the quality subs you are looking at
If you go to 8k it will become a little more critical but all will handle 2k eaxh
