2 SPL SA12's second saz-1500D v.1 or 3500D

I have talked about this a little before, the SPL coils can take a tun of power. A single 1500D (current setup) doesn't even reach recommended RMS for the pair I have. So, should I go for a second saz 1500 or should I just sell the one I have and buy a 3500D (when the 2012 models come out) I have D4 Coils in the subs so my strapped wiring options will take the amps out of warranty (1ohm total .5 each) But because they are v.1 models if they blow I would need to pay to have them repaired anyway. Even if I build a nice battery bank... Would I need a HO alt for 2 1500s? What do you think?

yep you will need an alt and one extra batt for sure on 2 1500s and the 3.5k.... personally you would do better with the 2 1500s at .5 .. box rise will have you up to at least 1 ohm anyway

The V.1 1500s do extremely well at .5ohm.. With good electrical I would probably be hitting close to 4K rms... These subs are under rated at 1K each.. But I dont know if they can take double rated rms daily, anyone have experience pushing the SPL SA coil?

um.....actually yea ive seen many people have 4-6k on a pair but thats burps.

Yeah and iv seen a pair of stock sa 12's on a 3500D at .5 ohm.. meh worst thing that can happen is I need a recone or need to have an amp or two repaired.. Not the end of the world
