2 SA-12's or 1 Fi BL15?

2 SA-12's would be on ~1300 watts.

1 Fi BL15 would be on ~1800 watts.

Want loud and musical. Box will be built properly for said goals either way.

Help me decide... I apparently can't pull the trigger on my own.

Save up a few pennies and run the sa.s on 2k ..what amps are you looking at?

PPI BK series... pretty much sold on them. Doubt 2k vs 1800 would be an audible difference.

Yea but a good 2k will give u clean power and overhead....do they make a bk that big ...i got the bk800.4 for mids n tweets

Nah the 1800 is the biggest one. I'm going to run a BK340.4 on my front stage as well.

If it were me and i was set on ppi bk ..get 2 ppi bk 1300.1 ..one on each sub and give them a clean 1k...i ran 2 sa12 s. on 2 saz1000 fpr over 2 years awesome setup

the bl's are much more efficient, almost makes up for less cone area.

Seems to me the 15" Fi would get pretty nasty, but looks like the 2 SA-12's are the preferred choice?

How are the new HiFonics amps? The 2k isn't that expensive... are they junk?

after i had my sa12s i got add 9515 ...liked the sas better ..and the ppi are probably nicer

People nuthug the shit out of Sundown here for some reason. I personally think the build quality on the Fi is better, but you can't go wrong with either. 2 12s will probably get slightly louder on the same power but not very much because of the huge motor force and efficiency of the BL 15.

You can't go wrong with Hifonics amps, especially the Brutus and Brutus Elite series (personal experience - they do clean rated power and are very affordable). PPI are also nice from what I hear. See what you can get used as well. You're probably looking at a ~$550 setup.... and I found a pair of AQ HDC3 15s and a AQ2200 for $550 used. Just watch the classified and your local craigslist ads
