2 Sa-12 with saz-2500d

Ok so i just ordered 2 sa12d4 subs and a foxbox for a quad cab dodge. And from everything i have read the sa-12's can take 1000 watts fine so i just wanted to make sure the saz2500 would be a good amp for it and if so what should i tune everything to? Iv read until my eyes hurt for the last week and really dont want to mess anything up.

all depends on how loud you keep the vol if for several songs you will deff cook them!
Right, you need to be careful. Make sure you're making clean power (by having the right electrical to back a 2500w amp) and I'd keep the gains low so the subs are only seeing ~1000w a piece. Just make sure your enclosure will work for overpowering your subs that much.

From what iv read they fit i sure hope they do lol. And i think i should be good on electrical its a diesel. Im gonna run a couple grounds from battery and all that good stuff. I just really couldnt find any real good info on it everytime i looked for something everyone was building theyr own box or going with a cheaper amp so i figured id ask some people who would know lol

Just remember, just because you've got two stock batteries under the hood doesn't mean your vehicle was designed to hold up to the draw of a 2500w amplifier. Power wire, big 3 cable, and maybe even an alternator is where I'd start if I were in your position.

I don't think you should go any bigger than maybe a 1500 watt amp unless you might upgrade just my opinion tho no need to spend extra money for something you won't use. and a solid 1500 watt amp will do close to 1800 with the SA amps which would b good and safe for you Smd save on the wallet

why dles everyone always jump to upgrading the alternator it is NOT needed with a 2500 watt amp unless you got like a metro or something with a tiny stock alt...

I clearly said 'if I were in your position'. Does that mean OP absolutely has to? Of course not. I, personally, wouldn't run an SAZ-2500 off nothing but a couple of stock batteries. If that's his choice, he can do whatever he wants. But a H/O alternator can do wonders for a system and immediately save on batteries or anything else that you can burn up in the long run.

I get what your saying but you don't need it cost a lot of money more than a couple good batteries that's for sure Iran more than 2000 watts off a stock alternator with no big 3 just a couple of Optima batteries I don't recommend it but I'm just saying my voltages didn't drop that much and I was over 2000 watts also he's not going to be using the full amp

Yeah, I know. I'm going to be running a BC2000 on two decent-sized AGMs on a stock alternator. I don't know how my voltage is going to sit, but either way, my alternator is probably going to quit eventually. I just can't afford an alternator right now, that's why I went with the batteries instead. Like you said, it's definitely not cheap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Well the only reason i said i think il be ok is cuz i have 2 dodges identical except ones a dually and ones a pickup and in my pickup i have a mojo 15 and a old school mojo 2500 amp and i see very little voltage drop. And im always upgrading so thats why i was kinda leaning towards the 2500 and not the 1500. And btw the foxbox in the ported one if that helps or not lol
