hey guys!!

i'm in the market for a subwoofer, but i dont know what to get. My friend has a kicker

L7 and it sounds great.i liked the way it sound it and when i went online i came a cross a 2 ohm and a 4 ohm. whats the difference ??????

2 ohm subs can be wired at 1ohm.. so if you have an amp with 1ohms stable load youre feeding your subs with a lot of power.. just be carefull with the gain..

Worst explanation ever.

The difference allows for multiple wiring configurations, same with dual voice coil VS single voice coil. One is not better than the other, they are equal.

You have to match the impedances with the power output of the amp.

A DVC 2 ohm sub can be wired to 1 or 4 ohms

A DVC 4 ohm sub can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms

Add more subs and you get more combinations.
