This will be my first ported box and I need a little help with the port length and area. I can get between 9 and 11 cubic feet before any displacement. From what I have read, the ideal tuning for awesome lows but still being loud is around 32hz so I think thats what Ill shoot for. Well anywhere from 32-35 hz.

Anyways, could someone on here help me figure out the port area and length on a box anywhere from 9-11 cubes? Like i said i can make the box as big as 11 but i dont think i want to make it any smaller than 9. My dimensions are flexible.

Also, would having one port for both subs be any different than two ports for both. What about making separate chambers for the subs? Does this have any advantage over a single undivided airspace?

more info: Just took some measurements and the most I can fit is 10.02 cubes after sub displacement. Could someone please run one of those programs to figure out what my port dimensions would be? I think I would like to have a divider wall between the subs so I will be using one port per sub.

Thanks guys. I tried the WinISD program but i dont fully understand it...

OK thanks. What will that be tuned to?

Another question...

If I was to have separate chambers, would i just do 67.5 sqin and 15in long for each chamber?

my main problem with winisd is that i cant find all of the specs to enter for the Sl7 15. Any one have them? Ive lookd on kicker's site but they only give some of the specs that winisd asks for...

Edit: found the specs and entered them. Now it's telling me my box needs to be 22 cuft tuned to 20.something hz. I guess Ill have to buy a trailer to tote my box along...

if the box was 9 cubes after sub and port it would be tuned to 32, theres more to it than just cutting the port in half for the separate chambers
I figured there was. Alright well using the 135sq by 30in long port size my box after sub and port displacement comes out to 8.13 cubes. What would be the tuning on this box?

If anyone can show me the formula of how to find the Fb given the box size and port length I could do it. I have problems with the one on JL's site so thats why i am hoping someone on here can do them for me. Maybe a reeealy nice person...?
