Well, I have both w3's and w6's. But they are v1... If they are anything like the v1's i have, the W6 and the W3 have about the same excursion, but the W6 has a a double stack magnet, and is just a better speaker overall. Id say, for loudness 2 12" W3's would be louder... W6 for sound quality with output to boot.

W6v2 hands down not even a comparison....

I'm doin' the W6's for my next setup!
