2jl 12's=$500-600 depending where you buy from plus at 400 watts each thats 800 watts

3 assassins 12's=$225 with money left over for a really nice amp here you get about 1100 watts

yep i know the jl's have great sq but its just too much money . Ive never heard the assasin or 187 before so I'm trying to get some opinions which would be best for me.

try going to your audio shops around you and see if they have any jl's for you to listen too,not many if even at all will have 187's and assassins your only choice there is to find someone on this board who has them and drive out to them if the drive is that important or just hit up ROE and try and see what they do even though its completly different on video and in person,but it gives you an idea.
