2 JL w6's vs 2 Rockford Fosgate T1's

my friend is looking at putting 2 or 3 12's into his suburban, he's narrowed it down to w6's and t1's and he asked me to post on here to see what people would say. i myself am leaning more towards the t1's as from what i understand fosgate was perfected these babies his time around, and i've always thought of jl audio as just an expensive sticker on average equipment. please give us any opinions you have, we're trying to make this thing low and loud to make some kid with 3 underpowered 12 inch jl's realize what's up.

JLs are *expensive* high-end equipment. That is different than *overpriced*. I've also never seen *inexpensive* high-end equipment. The two terms don't go together. If you want high-end, it costs money.

What is the goal of the system? If it's intended for listening to music at moderate levels, I'd go with the JLs. When not being over-driven (which is what pretty much everyone that says they're not impressed with their sound is doing) they are some of the best sounding subs out there. They are not SPL drivers by any means. JL has never built an SPL driver.

If the goal is to get obnoxiously loud, I'd go with something else better suited to that goal.

ive had both and the w6v2's sounded better and got louder. JL is really expensive, but they make some great drivers.

look on your local craigslist and try to get some on the cheap. he will not be disappointed with the jl's
