The only way you would gain anything, is if you could keep the Ap at 2ohm with imp rise, so it wouldn't be worth the change.

I used to run one of mine at .25, boy did it light up then. I gained 1.6db just from going from 1 ohm to .25. They really dont lose their efficiency when you drop them low like many other amps do.

hey got a noob question ..to take advantage of an amps full output ..wire down below rated and amp rise should level me off ..for example ..amp puts out 1k rms @ 1 ohm...i could wire a 0.67 load to it and from amp rise from enclosure i could have around a 1 to 1.4 load drawing max power .

Yes in theory this is good, however, some amps will not take this. But it all depends on install.
