2 fuses necesary foer adding 2nd battery?

I think i'll be able to fit my 2nd battery under the hood. My question is since itll be such a short distance, roughly 4 feet, so I still need to fuse at both ends? THanks

Theres no reason to put 2.

I just remember seeing a lot of people with 2+ batteries very close to each other just chaining them together with no fuse.

Well if I put the battery in the back, then I would need 2 fuses, one near each battery, but since I can fit it under the hood, the distance goes from like 10 to 4, so would I still need 2 fuses.

Better to have 2nd battery closer to amps... And with bats that close nothing having a chance to touch the wire and shorting it you dont need a fuse..

chaining batts together is just a few inches with no room between batts

he has 4 feet

i would say a simple 1 right in the middle

got bass has the better idea though
