Feel free to call me on my cell phone, since I don't have much of a chance to get on the forums my cell number is (217)972-1335

So the cones are what makes them equivalent to the 9912s?!?!!? Please explain.

ok just to help out, the 9900's where done away with, they had a composite cone or kevlar cone. they stoped making the 99 when they came out the 99z so they started offering the 9500 series with a composite cone thus making it a 9900 series seeing as they have always shared the same motor assembly as the 9900 They (DD) just don't label it as a 9900 series anymore

Thank you for the help, I also feel that that is revealed by the pictures as well. just a little info on these subs, it started as a built with 1 sub, however something went wrong so I decided we probably had to much power on it for 1 sub, so we had the first sub reconed to quad 1, and ordered a second matching sub. The car is being completely rebuilt, and in order to get new equipment we have to sell what we currently have in it. There are pics of the original build as well, as a for sale thread on the soundpressure forum, I also have feedback on that site.

Just for the record, the to much amp for 1 sub is a pair of Powerbass XA-3000d's strapped at 2 ohm

look at the pics, those are the new composite cones, all of them have the black spots on the back, not sure what that is, but Steve at DD said the red were the lightest, I'm all about less moving mass.

both monoblocks are concept amps rated at 2400 RMS, the actual output is 2200 RMS, the CC-D2400 is the first gen and in mint condition, the 2400A is the second gen strappable, but has some cosmetic issues. basically it's a strong amp, but you would want it halfway hidden in an amp rack.

I can't believe that people aren't jumping at these subs, at least the 9912G's
