You don't need a 16v alt...If you are using these for burps...only if your running your system daily...with the pair you can bass race or street beat easily....each one has 8400 amps of current....16v requires a 16v alternator, and a step-down module to run the 12v portion of the car. some amps require a 12v remote lead (instead of 5v).
or you can have a dual-alt setup and a 12v battery, the 12v runs the car on the stock alt, with a 16v alt charging the 16v batteries.
your amps also need to be capable of playing on a 16v system, and some really dont like 16v for anything more than burps.
