2 Atlas 15's vs. 1 New RE SE 15

I know the Atlases will get better SQ, but would they get louder? I'm tight on room, so they would be a snug fit ('91 Celica Hatchback).

Opinions on SQ? SPL?

I have a Directed 1100D and will be giving the Atlases 400wrms each and the SE 800wrms.

i dont think the se 15 will be as loud as the 2 atlas 15"s..messed with both plenty

The Atlas have more output potential aswell......double the displacement, actually. Se Xmax = 18mm, Atlas Xmax = 18mm (and they have roughly the same cone area).

I'd take the Atlas in sound quality aswell......

id take a single se over the single atlas if youre after over-all loudness...and the atlas for sq..

the atlas isnt that loud, but it does sound very nice.

from those two choices I would say the Atlas' would get louder and have equal or better sq if you are able to give them enough room. If you dont have enough room I would just get the 15 SE because it will probably be better to give 1 sub the right space then give two subs less space then they are better off with.

Not to mention the atlases are much more efficient.
