2 Alpines or 1 ED

Im in the process of putting together a new system and am at the amp stage. I currently have an Alpine MRD-M501 (550wrms), and am considering either selling it and getting a ED nine.2, or keeping it and getting another Alpine. The ED will cost around $300 (new), and the Alpine will cost around $120 (used). Which would be the better setup? One nine.2 or 2 mrd-m501's? Space isnt an issue as it will be going in a Grand Cherokee and they will be powering two JL 12w6v2's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif .

the pair of alpines will give you 2x the power of 1 9.2. there is always the 9.2x to consider, if your looking to stay with an A/B amp.

or did you mean the 9.1?

sry guys i meant the nine.1 the nine.1 wil give me anextra 100wrms, but i dont know if i want to pay the extra money for the extra 100w. how much do yall think i could get for my alpine?

I've always liked the two identical amps, one for each sub setup. Had a couple myself. They sounded great. If money is an issue and you don't mind buying used, I would definitely go with the alpines as long as you have good impedance matching.

The Alpines are digital, and might be strappable, so everyhting will be easy to set (no knobs). About the ED's, is they're any way to flush mount them? I like the look of no wires showing at all, thats why i'm leaning towards the Alpines, but if someone can show me a picture of an ED flush mounted, it might help me out a little.
