that's the theory behind getting higher preouts, but you should have zero noise at 2 volts and higher voltage is just bandaging a problemCrutchfield FTW (unless you can find another site that carries manufacturers warranties(sp?).
And, just to ask, isn't turning the gains up inviting a chance for more floor noise? I was told to try to get 4 volt or better to reduce possibility of floor noise through high gains.
I just got the DEH-P6800MP I ordered from Crutchfield's scratch-and-dent on Weds and it doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it. The only thing that seemed unusual was the inside packaging, it was some kind of plastic material rather than the usual styrofoam.ok sweet I just didnt know anything about it. Does anyone else have any experiences with the scratch and dent?

It is a wistling sound that is very loud. I already have a noise supresser on it and a ground wire thing. My friend has this same cd player and his does not make this noise in my truck? Does anyone know what this is or how I could fix it?
