(2) 15w3v2's and Hifonic's bxi2006d.. Too much power?

Heyy.. I got two, pretty much BRAND NEW (have boxes and paper work.. etc) 15w3v2s in a sealed box for 600 bucks... ( buddy I got it from bought it all from Ovations ($$$) for $900 a couple months ago!!! Receipt to prove it.. and is still under warranty.

First question, did I get ripped off? lol And how bad?? I can't say no to buying car audio! I swear it's a sickness... Even if i don't know the value of something, I just have to buy it!

Secondly, is that too much power? I know the Hifonics is underrated, but JL says 500 per sub, and I am pretty sure the amp is pushing over 1,000..

That place usually has a good price so as long as the subs are in good condition then it seems like a good deal. Im sure the amp would be fine as long as your easy on the gain

edit:depending on the way you wire it you could get it to put about 500 watts to each sub

i personally wouldnt pay that much for those but they are good subs that you should be happy with. Dont know the specs off the top of my head for the amp just make sure its all connected correctly and your gains are set correct as well... The w3v2 should be able to take a bit more power then its rated at. Just dont go way over. They are really awesome subs i still wonder to this day why so many people hate them.

$$$ is the only reason anyone ever gripes about. And it always sounds something like "you can get louder for cheaper" like loud is the only measure of the worth of a sub.

w3v2's are $120 a peice right now at hifibuys where I live...so $360 for a sealed box, Id say you got ripped off
