2 12" Treo SSi's or 1 15" RE SX

Which of these two would you rather have? I am looking for loud deep bass. I listen to mostly rap music with low beats. Both run off of an ED nine.1. SX 1000 watt rms SSi 750 a piece (2).

I actually have a pair of ssi's on the way just wondering how they would compare to a sx. Anyone heard them with 1500 watts rms running them. Someone said they were disappointing with 1500 to run like 2500 watts to them. Not looking for a huge project just loud, low bass! Anyone ever get the last minute worries about it won't measure up to what you think it will.

ya last minute worries happen but with 1500w you ought to be fine...

Cool you have any suggestions on an amp? I am on a budget so looking for something nice but a good deal. I was thinking maybe a ed nine.1 I hear they put out around 1500 on a 14.4v. What about power acoustiks amps I have heard bad and good about them. What size amp do you think I could get away with on a 2001 Olds Alero with just the big 3 and a yellowtop? Thanks

the ssi is a good woofer. really bottom heavy. not much upper bass. definitly have to go ported with 1000 watts plus per woofer. they will get loud, but not sealed and not without tons of power. i ran a pair of ssi 10"s for 6 months or so. i liked them, but the tsx's will be way louder with that power.

thats not nearly enough. you can get away with 1000+ on a tsx. treo's can take a serious beating. i had a zapco 1100.1 DC on a pair of tsi 10"s. super loud for two 10"s. thats roughly 550-650 watts per woofer on a sub thats rms rating is 150-200 watts.

yea, but saying its pretty loud. hear it like it should be with twice the power and you are going to come back screaming about how loud they are. its like riding in a ferrari and saying its kind of fast when the guy driving never wound it past 3 grand.

Any one no if the Power Acoustik A2400DB puts out close to its rating at 14.4v? It has a rms of 1800 I think I can get away with that on a stock electrical system in a 00 alero. Anyone know someone with an alero running an insane amount of power? Or an eclipse gst I may get rid of the alero? I don't want to be upgrading the alt. getting a second battery and all of that. Looking for an amp with low draw off the battery? Thanks for the help guys.

How about a Hifonics XX Hercules heard they are rated at 2000 with 12.6v. That sounds like my cars electrical system could take it??? Anyone have experience with the xx? I have bad things about the other lines but mostly good about the hercules xx. Thanks Eric

you wont find any high powered amps that dont cause a good amount of draw...plain and simple

I'd definatly take a 20.1 or a 2500D or even a Treo 1500.1 if you can find one, over that amp.
