2 12" SX's

I am trying to design an enclosure for my 12" SX's that will yeild the maximum performance out of these woofers. Website reccomends 2 cubes for each tuned to 33 hz but i have heard that 2.5 for each would be better but keep the same tuning. also what size port area should i have for the pair? Space isint really an issue but i would like to try to keep the external volume within 37x14x25 if possible.

no help here? all i really what to know is what box volume i should use get the most out of these 12" SX's. tuning will be 32-33 reguardless or box volume, to make the sq a little better and to drop bottom really well.

With that space your only gonna get 2cf per sub...I have a desing somewhere for 2 12" SX

ok well then go up to 37.5x14.5x25-27 i have a box designed rite now that is 5 net subes tuned to 33 hz that fits within that plot.

but basically all i want to know is what volume should i be striving for for these subs? ive heard everywhere from 2-3 cubes for each. I want overall the best and loudest response from these. if it helps each woofer will be seeing 1100 rms maybe 1200.

2cf is ok, but most will say 2.5cf

alright then im going for 2.5 im just gonna build the box i made plans for.

but what about bracing? there will be a central port to provide maximum bracng to the top anf bottom and front but as for the rear and sides the walls will be 12.5x36 and 12.5x24 respectivly. the rear one i am not sure how i should brace it because the port is right in the middle as for the sides is it ok to use the port as a brace mount? for the rear wall i was thinking of screwing on a peice of angle iron running along the length of it to give it some stiffness, is tihs an ok thing to do?

Ahh, should fit. I made a mistake once a long time ago of building a box that would not fit thru the trunk opening, lmao. I was an idiot back then though, when I first started doing enclosures.

actually i can only fit a relatively small box through my trunk opening. it is going to be a challenge to even make it fit in through the back seat even with the seat removed entirely. the openings on my car are HORRIBLE but the trunk itself it nearly 13 cubes lol. my first box was the only box that could fit into my trunk opening and it was 3.5 cubes @ 35 hz with 2 4" round ports and it baralley fit.

nahh it should be fine but its gonna be a b1tch for sure. My current box is 37.5x14.5x22 at the long part of the wedge and about 16 at the short part. it hardly fits through the opening in the back seats due to the 14.5x37.5 dimensions

im also gonna have a problem sealing it off i need to get some sort of squishy flexible foam to seal it off from the trunk cuz it needs to be removable so that i can slide the box foreward to access my spair tire other wise i could just use expanding foam like on my other box.

so should between 4.5 and 5 cubes net get me the most efficnency of these subs?
