lets clear some things up
I have no interior in my blaze... found out im loosing about 2db's from this. but thats besides the point.
ok well in my tests the MTX 7500 scored big, but that aint the point.. I love MTX.. so no one will change my mind bout this.
on a new audiocontrol. 5 cubic feet box with about 50sq. in. of port tuned to 33hz..
the MTX 7500's (2 of them) scored a 145.2
the RE SX's (2 of them) scored a 144.7
both hooked up to a Orion 2500D. the mtx's at 4ohms, the RE's at 2ohms
so i made another box dedicated to the SX's.. not just a random box that is tuned to 33hz.
But it was also a daily driver. tuned to 35hz.
went to comp. 142.4.. so with interior. about a 144
now i have another box built. tuned to 50 hz
8 cubes. 102 sq. in. of port
comp is on july 3rd.. we will see how they react in an SPL box.
even if they react good and i do score 1st once agian.. im still trying to sell them cause my heart lays with MTX.
maybe u guys think im doing something wrong.. but It doesnt matter..
Im sellign em because im not satisfied with them. Nothing is wrong with the subs. I have original packaging and 11 months left on the warranty.
If ud like.. i can get a sealed box n redo some tests

I called up MTX and got 1 good *** deal I cant refuse.

WOW, im flattered to be compared to a car like SuperStanes! One question, what on gods green earth makes you think these systems are anything near eachother? First, you got some stuff wrong little buddy, some of the ROE stats are old. That box with 300" of port 20" long tuned to 29hz was an experiment, and was tuned just a little too low. It wasnt very musical above 50hz so i didnt use it long. That vid with almost a 151@ 27hz was with that box though. Its now on the side of the house rotting away. Also, The box that was 45hz wasnt really 45hz it was 35hz as it turns out. I knew it was lower than i thought by listening to it but after re-running the numbers it WAS tuned much lower........which is fine by me i like it like that. Also, where do you see that thing is Staneys got is tuned to 40 at? WhAt??? IS THAT A WALL? hey bro, my CLOSEST sub is 8ft away from the dash. My port is almost 12feet away and aimed backwards, tuned to 30hz. How can you possibly use my ride as an example of why RE isnt loud or make it look like i did something wrong with all my power? Do you know that my truck is 100% street? I already know you can do bigger numbers with 2 15's or even 2 12's with millions of watts and an extreme car. You can also do bigger numbers than me in street class but the biggest difference is that they would have to be a pure one note box and for 2 seconds and thats IT. Thank god that DBDRAG came out with BassRace wich requires a store bought music cd and takes a 30 second average instead of a quick burp. Now, at last after 3 years of going against one note wonders, we can see where i stand in the world with other cars capable of MUSIC. Why dont you ask someone who knows where i stand in BassRace how loud a daily system i have. Ask someone who actually sat in my truck what it sounds like.
Again, take a long hard look at my truck and everything about it. Take another look at the car you compare it too. If you dont feel silly, then you really REALLY dont have a clue and should stop posting in car audio boards until you learn a few things.

Ok, maybe I missed something... How much are you asking for the SXs?
just to clear something up....yes im an RE guy so i will tend to be a little biased naturally but im not blind i know theres lots of great brands out there. I think the reason your 7500 beat the RE SX by a few db was not because one is a better sub than the other, but more because that 7500 was being overpowered WAY past its RMS while the SX was barely, if at all at its own RMS. A RE SX is 1000rms/2000peak and a MTX 7500 is 400RMS/800peak. If you bump up from a 7500 to a 9500 i predict the same results. Get some more power on the SX or the 9500 and the 7500 gets its *** kicked and would probably go up in smoke trying to keep up. Bottom line the comparison between an SX and a 7500 is sorta like comparing my Tahoe to that Extreme car. Apples and oranges.

sounds about right meade... i have an sx 15 and i'm pushing the heck out of it and performs very well.. 13-1400rms makes the sx really shine

You just sound dumb saying that, I know what your saying steve, but I went off both your scores from dbdrag. Bottom line is he scored better with the 7500 and stayed in his class that simple. As he stated he will stick with his feeling and run the mtx. BUMP lets get these sold.
i sound dumb saying that? You have a sub that hasnt started to move yet and one that is going crazy off the same power which do you think will get louder? Double the power and one is up in smoke and the other is 3db louder than it was before that.......whats so dumb about that? My Rockford RFZ 10" sub (you know the weakest one they make) is louder off my 300 watt amp then my RE MT 18 on the same 300 watts. Put 4,000 watts on each one and see what wins. So the 7500 is better for the power he is running but its not a better sub than the SX just like its not better than its big brother the 9500. Better for his situation i guess but if hes gonna bump up to a 9500 anyway id stick with the SX. It will handle more power if he decided to add more and it wont cost anything since he already has them. I would personally upgrade my alts, batts, and add more power to the SX's before i changed subs.

Back up for the Pair of SX'S get them sold. I know toolow and bought from him his stuff stays in mint shape.
