Right now I've got the solos but I don't really like them. Square subs just sound funny to me. I think I could fit 1 15 in my trunk ported...and I I know I can fit 2 12's. I've got a hifonics 1000D amp, What do you guys think? Any other suggestions. I want some bass that you can really feel. The solo's are loud but I want something different.

Any 1 or 2 subs that take 1000rms and can be wired at 1ohm is what I'm looking for...I was thinking about an SE 15 but I cant' wire it to 1ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You just dont like the sound of the L5s? The Se's are more geared to SQ than the L5s you'd probably like them better.

Why not just get a 12sx (dual 2ohm) and give it the 1000 watts? Probably wont be as loud as your L5s, your going to be loosing alot of cone area.

i have a 12'' memphis SHP subwoofer. dual 2 ohm voice coils. 36 lbs...... very loud. its rated at "500" rms power, but everybody will tell you memphis under rates thier subwoofers power handling. pm me if you are interested.

it might be underrated but I think 1000 watts still will be too much, plus I want either 2 12's or 1 15.

can handle a memphis 1000d pretty easy (1100 watts RMS) it will handle your 1000 RMS i garauntee it. it has a 3 inch diameter x 1.4 inch winding length 4 layer voice coil. it is truely massive. 1000 watts -is not- too much for this subwoofer. it will handle a wall socket for atleast a couple minutes free air. try finding a 1000 watt amplifier that puts out that kind of power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but none the less...... its not 2 12's and its not a 15''.

Wow, thats the dumbest thing ive ever seen.

A 1000W amp that puts out over 3000 watts.

Then it would be a 3000 watt amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wtf are you talking about??? he said........ he doesnt think it will handle 1000 RMS, i said it will handle a wall socket, so basically its going to handle any 1000 watt amplifier. then you go mumbling off some mumbo jumbo about 3000 watts........

Im right next to the school

I have a 97 Suburban, it sits in my drive way because the engine is broken //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

All i need is some components, some coax's, a 4ch amp and a nice h/u.

Its factory at the moment.
