2 12" HDC3 vs 1-18" Fi BTL??? Help

i currently have a dodge charger and as u may know, the trunk isnt any where as big as the rest of the car. not sure which route i should go. i tried my wifes HDC3 in my car and that thing pounds especially for the price, you cant beat it. if i go AQ, than the box will be 5cuft and if i go BTL it will be 5.5-6 cuft which is still above the minimum requirments. my goals are to loud!!!!!! this is for daily. i'll be powering with a kicker zx2500. Subs will be facing up since i have my rear deck vented. open to all ideas! thanx

what u talkin about, the recomended cuft for each HDC3 12" is 2.5 cuft. 2.5x2=5cuft and are rated @ 1000 rms. 1000x2=2000rms and i have a zx2500 rated @ 2700.

bc that is what DJ rates them at... I just know from experiences that the hdc needs more than 1300 watts....I oculd be wrong but the zx was bench tested @ 1700w, so thats closer.....

I have experienced with both the copper coil on a saz1500, and still seems to want more....

btw, which do you have, the copper coil or alum?

From my experience, firing up in a trunk is the wrong way to go.

copper. dj told me i didnt need aluminum. but i guess i can relate to you but it wanting more cuz it sounds alot better and louder in my car than my wifes. i thought b cuz of the size and resonant freq of the car compare to mine. i have my zx2500 hooked to it right now and im scared to turn it up cuz i dont want to blow it but i do feel that it wants more.

with one zx2500.1, definatley go the BTL. the HDC's wont be worth the investment if you're not going to use them to their potential

Just set the gains to it using a dmm, I don't think you will blow it but you need to watch it for getting got
