2 12'' CVRs vs. 3 10'' JLw3's

the 2 CVRs will be in a ported box(kicker made box) and the JLw3s were in a sealed box. i just ordered the CVRs and they will be replacing the JLw3s. what can i expect from this new setup (both good and bad). the JLs had 200 rms running to each of them and the CVRs will have 300 rms a piece.

W3 offers a lot cleaner sound and bass. JL is great

the w3 is a good woofer. just make sure you arent going with the w3v2. three 10w3's sealed with 1000 watts have been known to get into the mid 140's.

Kicker CVRs will be LOUD.. one of my first systems was 2 12" kicker cvr's sealed and they pounded hard. bam bam bam

three W3's have some serious potential. they also dont have that nasty slap that the cvrs and w3v2s have.

i've heard the 3 jl's in a tribox at ovation and they sounded like crap to me. i have not heard them inside of a car... which they may sound a lot better. I have heard the 12" kickers in a car but it was a sealed box though. Mine which was in a hatch (which was loud) and my buddy's set who has them in a truck (not that loud but his amp is too small) but these are both sealed. Going off my experience, I would say the kicker's would def be louder due to you porting them though.

tribox? prefab? its all install. and also a lot of things sound like shit in a store.
