Pissing off the world.
I'm about to build a box for my RE SR10's. Was thinking about taking my Ascendant Audio Assassin 8's and putting them in a small ported enclosure and running them off the rear channel on my component amp. I kept trying to find something to do with these little subs besides let them collect dust(I love these little guys) and it came down to building a box for them and connecting them to my computer surround system or incorporating them into my car. If I had my SR10's ported, tuned to ~33hz and the two 8's sealed with the low pass set pretty high would it sound terrible? I'd be feeding them 80w a piece vs the 150w that I've always given them. I think they would basically be acting as mid-woofers, not sure what the response range for these is as I can't get in contact with AA to get specs for the older models but I think it could be kind of cool.
It's just an idea, I've never tried mixing subwoofer sizes so I thought it might be interesting. Any thoughts?
