I have to put a radio in one this weekend are they easy I have never seen the dash Any hints or warnings

also what tools do I need to take so I dont have to bring everthing

Not sure on the 99's but my 97 intrepid was a breeze! My first radio install and it took me less than 15min.

a little more work than the first gen intrepid but not by much.

In order to remove the trim around the stereo/ climate controls you will need to pop off the trim around the shift knob.

You don't have to remove it but do pop it up. First, put your car into neutral and press the ebrake so it doesn't roll.

There are no screws holding the trim down. Simply pull up on it.

Once its up youll have turn it a bit to the side (just so you can pop off the other trim).

Once its out of the way all you do is again pull at the trim around the stereo. It isn't fastened down either with any screws.

Thatll give you access to your stereo. Its held with 4 screws. Remove them and pull the unit. release the harness and your antenna connections.

Should take under 3 mins.
