the 1999 catera is black with tan leather interior, body in excellent shape..no dents or dings...has 129K miles on it...which makes me hesitant but i will only be driving it daily for a year asking price of $3900 but will take $3500....the 1996 deville is candy red color with white/very light tan leather interior and roof(not the roof but hopefully you know what i mean)...also no dents or dings...has 104K on it which still make sme hesitant but once again it is only going to be driven daily for a year..asking price is $5500 but will take $4700...now which would you choose and why.

Not a huge fan for the little lacs...pretty ghey imo, but it's not gonna be my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I prefer the newer devilles as well, but I'd take an older one over a catera though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I'd make **** sure you know how well the car was maintained. Even my local caddy dealers liked to crack jokes about em(caddys) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

i like the cateras...also beats the big 8cyl. in gas mileage which is becoming more and more of an issue for me personally...and if i could get a new deville..trust me id be all over it but i dont have the funds at the moment for a $15K vehicle...and i know for sure that the deville was taken care of and that most of the miles were trips to the couples retirement home in FL...the catera on the other hand has rims, t.v.'s etc. so im guessing that it was owned by someone younger which is never good:laugh:

I'd go deville for sure then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I just love a big *** sedan with some balls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. i had a 1993 lincoln town car and loved it...wish i wouldnt have ruined it...thats kind of why i want to buy this one...plus ive wanted another caddy since i had to get rid of my old one....but now i cant decide between the 2....and im not sure if the 18 will fit in the trunk of the catera and if im going to be driving that then i want it in the caddy and not in the blazer.

My wife drives a 2001 catera which was my previous car.If you upfired the 18 you can fit it.I actually like this car.I think it'd look better in black //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif ours is a darker blue.I forgot the exact color name.

how many miles are on it?..any problems?....what are your likes/dislikes with the car?

Mileage, is just under or at 30,000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I haven't checked the odometer in a while.Only a couple problems. My dumbass brother locked the dog in the garage with the car for a week.I came home to a bunch of lovely scratches //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif And there was a leak with the coolant. The bastards at the dealer I went to just put what looked like gum over the hole.Other than that, no problems. What I really don't like about it, is the winter handling. It sucks in the snow.It drives real easy though.

d*mn 30K miles is soooo far away from 130K:laugh:...and winter handling is a big thing since the wife will be driving it as well...but i cant imagine the deville being any better...but overall you like the car and would recommend it or no?

i dont exactly commute...but i drive ALOT....40-50K a year....kind of why im taking gas mileage into consideration:D
Hope you are able to do any repairs need on either, when needed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. I'd buy a honda or something if you're gonna be put that kinda mileage on a car....just my opinion.

Overall I like it and yes I'd recommend it.I was just looking through pics and one from a few months back says 32k on it.I got it when it had 21k, a lot of road trips on it.

Real Cadillac owneers dont consider the catera a real cadillac.

The Deville is a better car in so many more ways.

Bigger trunk, More HP, More parts ( shares part's with about 3 other cars), bigger alt ( 130A), RWD.

Or you could get an Eldorado //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Suprisingly enough, you can get 20MPG out of the V8 northstar.
