1998 Pontiac Bonneville

I got a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville earlier today and it has some sound issues.

The guy that my dad got it from said that we needed to finish hooking up the audio, and at the price we got it for ($1k) we decided to go for it. Here's the catch; we have no ****ing clue where to start. there is an amp in the trunk with a ****ton of cables plugged into it and there are cables in the cab heading to the back. The receiver is getting power fine just not getting audio to the speakers.

All I know so far is that it has a JVC CD receiver and a Boss 400w amp.

Here are some pics of the receiver, ANY help whatsoever is greatly frigging appreciated.

I know the amp is ****, but this is purely working with what I've got. I don't care about the quality right now; I just want to get the system up and running.

I'm having a buddy of mine come over tomorrow to troubleshoot but I dunno if he could help me with it or not, only time will tell :3

Yeah plus that amps crap. you should get something thats alot cleaner. whats in the doors?
probably speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

the black box connected to the rcas is a ground loop isolater. he has engine noise probably from that poor ground wire. that is the black/brown wire coming from the side of the amp with all the screw down terminals it's labeled gnd. move that to a more solid place. the small blue wire is the remote wire, that turns on/off the amp it's connected to the remote out of your jvc deck. the next wire, the red one goes to the battery, it should be connected to a fuse close to the battery terminal. goin over to the speaker terminal is where it gets tricky. he has 4 sets of speaker wires going into the amp. it looks like he has the amp wired 2 ohm stereo. to find out what wire goes to what speaker disconnect all the wires from the amp. take on set of wires by itself, that's i pair, either a copper/silver or one set of the gray. take a 9v battery and touch the silver to the neg of the battery and the copper to the pos and listen to which speaker "pops" label that wire in accordance to the speaker noise. then come back
