1997 Buick Skylark - trying to install Pioneer receiver...

Hello,

I have a 1997 Buick Skylark in which I'm trying to install a Pioneer receiver. I did not have the correct connectors, as none seem to fit. I spliced the wires and connected them as per the wiring diagram for the vehicle and for the Pioneer, and I successfully have power to the unit both in the accessory position and when started... but no sound at all.

Can anyone offer me some advise? Thanks.

Does the Buick have a stock amplifier?
