1996 Toyota Camry LE - Rampage CD Player alright, so i took out my in-dash (dealer) tape player....and all went fine. I got a Rampage CD-player, which was easily mounted on the toyota's rack... now here's the difficult part - which wires go where. i ended up putting the switched 12v and the constant 12v (from rampage) BOTH on the one "hot" wire coming from the car...and clamping them together. ground wire with the car's ground. and i seemed to get all of the speakers in correctly. first off, i have a bunch of left over wires - on both ends of things (1 from hte rampage if i rememeber correctly.....). -my camry HAD a moveable antenna - but that broke a long time ago, and since then i now have an "always up" antenna. (assuming one wire is for that) -my camry's clock will NOT work anymore...so i assume that is one of the wires as well. -my light (car's light, on the roof) will not work anyomre, no matter what. But sometimes i can here a light "buzzing" sound when i flip the light switch to from off to on (or vis versa)...as if the car is trying to turn it on or something??..i really have no idea, but it remains there until i flip it to off again. -my headlights/tail lights stay activated after you turn the car off - UNTIL you open the door driver's door. Or at least that USED to be the case! Now, as soon as i power the car off, the lights go off as well. However, when i open my door, i can still here the usually "click" that turns the power totally off, i'm assuming. by the way, i can still use windows until the door is open - just the light function no longer works that way. alright, so now that i found all my problems, anyone know how to fix this? can somebody direct me to a webpage that lists what each wire in this specific model is for, etc. etc.? lol. and while i'm at it - the cd player randomly "mutes" for .5-1 sec often while i'm driving. Kind of like a skip, but more of a sound stop for that length of time. Do you guys think this is a wireing issue as well? or just a crappy rampage 100 dollar cd player....? THANKS. if anyone can give me ANY information on how to get started here...well, i'll love you. lol.
