1984 porsche 944 Transmision

Theres one up for sale for for 1500 but has a transmision problem.

"only problem car only goes into 1,3,5 gears,but ive still driven daily this way with no other problems "

How much would a new/used like junk yard transmision cost for this? Just an estimate? And how hard is this to do? Ive done minimual work on cars but willing to try.

umm i doubt your goin to find 1 of them in a junk yard. you could prolly buy 1 off ebay or somethin for about $300-400 for a used 1. and it shouldnt be too hard to take out if its like every other *****, all u need to do is drop the crossmember holdin it up and unbolt it from the engine and unhook the linkage.. its a pretty easy job to do.

that 1 is 700 , i guess its a little more expensive.

Think its worth it for that price? Looks pretty decent to me (the car)

ya if ya got the money to spend on it. It looks pretty good to me 2. Look real nice if you threw a paintjob and some cheap rims. id paint it black and powdercoat them rims if it was me.. it would look nice!

my friend just totaled his 944, i can ask him if he still owns it, and if he does, i bet he'd sell the transmission

(transmission not totaled, he was t-boned)

dude if u get a list from mechanic its gonan be about 10 g's cuz they'll want to fix the whole car havin problems... thats y u fix stuff yourself, u havent ever heard of people bein ripped off?

there still goin to try to hassle you into buyin alot more than wut u need, unless its a honest small time shop or somethin if the part isnt 100% u need a new 1

Idk he wont take 1k in cash. Im not sure about 1500 I was banking on him taking 1k-1250 in cash but he wont even tho its been for sale for 4 months

I basicly brought it with me

scoped him out first then showed it to him.

Said no. I left.
